  	William served as one of the two Lower Norfolk County representatives in the Virginia House of Burgesses, the lower body of the Virginia General Assembly, during the 1688 and the 1695 - 1696 sessions.

  	William's will appointed James Cocke of Plymouth, England as the executor of his estate in Europe, and a Mr. Mathews to handle matters specific to London. Mr. Thomas Hodges, Mr. Samuel Baush [Boush] and Mr. H---- Scot were named as overseers for the administration of his estate in Virginia. The will was signed on 26 September 1699, but Craford's signature does not appear to have been witnessed. This will is badly mutilated.
