  	On 20 April 1694, James patented 423 acres of land "Situated lying and being in Little Creeke precincts adjoyuoing to a place Called Wolfes Neck which was by patent granted on 15th of October 1651 to James Thelaball decd". This patent goes on to recite James, Sr's 4 November 1685 re-patent of his 380 acres, his subsequent assignment of it to his son Francis Thelaball on 23 February 1685/6 and Francis' assignment of it to his brother James, Jr on 10 October 1690. The addition of 43 acres to the 1651 patent is not explained. And this patent names neither parish, nor county, when detailing the property itself.

  	James' will appointed his wife, Ann, and his son, Francis, as co-executors. He signed his will on 24 December 1707. His signature and seal were witnessed by Samuel Wilder, Edward Bray and Lemuel Roberts.
