  	On 22 March 1634/5, James was enrolled at London as a passenger for New England on the Planter. The certificate of conformity and allegiance sworn to in Stepney Parish, London on which James' name appears suggests that he was indentured to Nicholas Davies, tailor of Wapping, whose name headed the certificate. The Planter sailed from London during April and arrived at Boston on 7 June 1635.
