  	By 1882, C.T. had begun his own carriage manufacturing business in Washington, North Carolina. From 1887 to 1890, the business was located in New Bern, North Carolina. The final move was made during 1890 when C.T. moved the firm to Kinston, North Carolina.

  	Cause of death was noted as "albuminuria associated with diabetes mellitus". C.T. died at 8:35am on 15 October 1910 at his home on North Queen Street in Kinston, North Carolina. He had been ill for about a month and confined to bed for one week. He was 54 years old.

  	C. T.'s funeral service was preached by Rev. J. H. Hall, pastor of Queen Street Methodist Church. The service began at 3:00 pm at the Randolph home on North Queen Street. Pall bearers were the Hon. Y. T. Ormond, L. Harvey, A. S. Copeland, P. H. Crawford, Jesse T. Heath and D. V. Dixon.

  	His body was interred in the Randolph Family plot at Maplewood Cemetery in Kinston, North Carolina on 16 October 1910.
