  	"Mr. Roger Conant Aged aboute Eighty Eight Years and seauen months Departed this life on the nineteenth Day of November In the year of our lord 1679". I believe that the church clerk incorrectly calculated Roger's age by one year when making his entry in the church burial records. An age of eighty-eight years, seven months at his death in November 1679 would make his birth date April 1591, a full year prior to his 9 April 1592 baptism. During the 16th century baptism was performed within days of a birth.
