  	The date range for Pasco's birth has, therefore, been determined by the fact that a trade apprentice had to be between the ages of 10 and 18 years at the start of the apprenticeship. No baptismal record has been found for Pasco.

  	In August of 1664, Pasco apprenticed himself to Thomas Hicks, a Citizen of London and a member of the Skinners Guild. His apprenticeship was for a period of 8 years. The Skinners’ Guild was one of the Great Twelve livery companies of the City of London, with a history going back to the 1400's. The Guild governed the use, manufacture and sale of skins and furs when they were used for trimming garments for people of exalted rank. The Guild, also, controlled the conditions of apprenticeship in the craft.

  	Pasco and his brothers, Samuel and Thomas, emigrated from England and settled in the Virginia Colony. The actual dates of their departures are not known. Their moves were likely a result of the stipulations in their mother's September 1675 will that coerced each of them to release his interest in the estate of their brother John and of their father Nicholas in favor of their brother Joshua.

  	Court proceedings dated 23 February 1688/9 concerning the estate of Thomas Myles, deceased, note "Mr. Pasco Curle" as being "present". This is the first mention of Pasco in the extant records of Elizabeth City County.

  	On 20 August 1691, the Court of Elizabeth City County appointed "Pasco Curle, Gent", Thomas Allainby and William Marshall as the first feofees (trustees) of Hampton Town. These three men formally laid out the town of Hampton in 1692. The two main streets, King and Queen, were named in honor of the English monarchs, William and Mary. King, the main street,led down to the wharf at the river, while the longer Queen Street crossed it at right angles, forming a short-legged T. Twenty-six half-acre lots along these two streets had been sold by 1693.

  	On 18 May 1693, Pasco was appointed High Sheriff of the County of Elizabeth City by His Excellency, Edward Androus, Governor General of Virginia.

  	Pasco served as an Elizabeth City County Justice during 1695.

  	Pasco was listed in the 1704 Quit Rent Rolls as chargeable for 300 acres of land. This is the last mention of Pasco, found to date, in the extant records of Elizabeth City County. Quit rent was an annual fee paid by a freeholder for the use of land; a tax, after which one had no further taxes due the Colony for that period.

  	On 19 March 1713/4, Sarah Curle signed her "Last will and Testament." The act of doing so, establishes her husband Pasco's death prior to that date. Colonial Virginia wills were subject to both common law and statutes, each of which denied a married woman the right to make a will. A rare exception to this law was when a wife was given consent by her living husband to bequeath personal property.
