  Violet Rogers Hatcher had said when sharing family information that Vana had a son, Willis, fathered by Clyde Rivenbark. Clyde and Vana did not marry. Clyde is given as father and Vana Mobley as mother on marriage certificate for Willis Mobley and Sallie Sholar in 1932. Their parentage is also given in the Draughon book Henderson and Sholar Lineages of Duplin County North Carolina.
