16351 WHILE TRUE, I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT THE INCLUSION OF THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED ANY LONGER:

PARENTAGE of James Ferebee, grandfather of Mathew G.Ferebee. Enclosed with Annie A. Ferebee's 5 January 1933 letter to Lola Weiss was a diagram of the James Line of the Ferebee Family. I believe this diagram to be incorrect concerning the parentage of James Ferebee, grandfather of Mathew G. Ferebee. The diagram shows the following: John Ferebee> James Ferebee> John Ferebee> James Ferebee> James Ferebee> Mathew G. Ferebee...the descent should instead be: John Ferebee> James Ferebee> James Ferebee, Jr> James Ferebee> James Ferebee> Mathew G. Ferebee...my conclusion is based on 1] the 1763 will of John Ferebee names 3 sons & six daughters, but no James 2] tithables list John with son Charles (1754, 1758) & son John (1758) and wife Mary, after John's cir 1763 death, for son Willis (1768)...again, there appears to be no James in this line 3] James Jr, brother of John did according to tithables have a son James who first appeared with his father in 1767, making his birth date circa 1751, which makes him work as the grandfather of Mathew G. Ferebee.
